The North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS) and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA) have joined together to offer PAs in NC a great deal!
The NCMS is a membership association that advocates on behalf of its 12,000 physician, physician assistant, medical, and PA student members in North Carolina. The NCAPA promotes and represents the physician assistant profession in North Carolina through education, quality services, and advocacy of optimal health care. With such common goals, these two organizations decided to partner together to offer PAs in North Carolina the ability to join both groups at a discounted rate to reap the benefits of membership that each organization has to offer.
Why should you be a part of this partnership?
"What do the NCMS and the NCAPA offer us as physician assistants? They allow us to combine forces to advocate on behalf of our profession and our patients, and they support the physician/PA working relationship.
By joining both of these organizations, we show our commitment to our profession and our patients. I hope you will join us in this wonderful opportunity for membership within both of these important organizations."
James E. Hill, Jr., PA-C, MEd Immediate Past Chair, NCMS Physician Assistant Section Past President, North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants | "When Dr. Eugene Stead first envisioned the physician assistant profession, he saw us as an integral member of a health care team led by our supervising physicians. The partnership between our state PA academy and the North Carolina Medical Society allows us to continue to strengthen the PA/MD team by providing opportunities for shared communication and advocacy."
